Strange things happen when you have preschoolers and college students living at home at the same time. Like the time my youngest daughter started wearing this plastic bracelet, and I had no idea where it came from. She said she found it in the bathtub. I mean, who hasn’t found jewelry in the tub, right? Not! Then my oldest daughter sees it and announces “OMG! That’s my birth control ring! It must’ve fallen out in the shower!” Seriously?! That was an interesting phone call to the pediatrician… “Hi! (Said in my telephone voice…all mom’s have a telephone voice! It’s like a Jekyll & Hyde thing… I scream “Stop that right now!”, then sweetly say into the phone “Hi! How are you? I’m fine!”) Anyway, back to my phone call…”Hi! Me again! Yes…again! So…if my two-year-old was wearing a birth control ring…No! No! Around her wrist! Would that be bad? Don’t ask… You know what? Forget it! It’ll be fine!” “Hey Tom! Is it dangerous for toddlers to wear jewelry made from contraceptive devices?”
