Fun fact about my family…I had two more babies when my teenagers were finishing high school. A sixteen year age gap. Talk about a pregnant pause! I did that Mom Curse on my teenagers when they were making me nuts. You know, when you say “One day, I hope you two have a kids that act just like you!” It rebounded! Now… I have two more kids that act just like them! Like Chutes & Ladders, we were almost at the finish line, and then we hit a chute and started over. By the time the last one graduates, we’ll have had kids living at home for almost forty years. Yep! We were almost empty nesters! Next thing I know I’m waddling across the high school football field nine months pregnant on Senior Night! A year later, I was back in the same place…and in the same condition! Our friends in the stands were like “What are you, rabbits?! Stop! You’re gonna hurt yourselves! Do we need to explain how this happens?” When my youngest finally has his senior night, we’ll have so much in common! I’ll be a senior too! Instead of walking…across the field, I’ll probably be wandering around it…lost. “Mom! Over here! They need to take our picture! Where is she going? I never know where she’s going…”
